Wish

   This little fairy perches on her enchanted key, reminding us all to keep wishing!

Painted in Photoshop and Painter, 2009.

Inspiration: I've been thinking a lot about creative ways to include keys in paintings, and somehow came up with the idea that a little sign could hang off of the key with an inspiring message. The very first thing I thought of for this painting was the color; I found an blue aquamarine Swarovski crystal and wanted to match that beautiful color in the painting. Bubbles and wishes just seemed to fall right into place with the color! The delicate bubbles represent the beauty & fragility of wishes.
