December 11, 2008 This is just a reminder that keychains will be no longer be sold through the website as of late December. We are also discontinuing Fairytale Chokers, since we will be releasing several new necklace designs. Also, in order to make room for many exciting new paintings, we will be placing the following works in a new "Archives" section: -Autumn Whispers -Aurora -Dark Angel (B&W and Colored) -Wicked Death -Stormrider No items with these images will be sold through the website once the new site design is launched in late December/early January. | December 08, 2008 We've added a beautiful new product-- lockets! Please visit our new Lockets page to view this exciting new product! Lockets have already become our most popular item on Etsy, and we hope you'll like them too! While Melissa hoped to have greeting cards and bookmarks up in time for the holidays, the sheer volume of holiday orders has prevented her from adding them at this time. After Christmas we'll be re-evaluating our products as we prepare to release a new design of the website, so no new items may be added until January. However, Melissa does usually upload new products to our Etsy shop first, so if you'd like a sneak peek at what's to come, please stop by and visit us at SpellboundWings.Etsy.com! Melissa is currently finishing an angel and two new fairy paintings, so we may add them to the site towards the end of the month. Otherwise, the beginning of January will bring a new site design, new paintings, and new products! | To celebrate the holidays, we're offering a huge sale on prints-- 8.5x11" prints are now $10.99, and 5x7" prints are $5.99. You can even get an 8.5x11" set of the two new holiday kittens for $20! We've also added giftcards! Now you can give a friend or loved one a giftcard if you're not sure what they'd like; or, even better, you can let them know a giftcard would be the perfect gift for you! We appreciate your patience-- once again our cameo sections have been rearranged a bit. Melissa wanted to make it easier for customers to choose the setting, necklace material, and length, so she combined our Classic Cameos section with the Gossamer Ribbon Cameos section, creating our new Classic Cameos page. We've added several new necklace materials, including ready-to-wear 18" silver and gold chains! You may notice that we haven't added Melissa's new paintings as keychains; we've decided to only bring keychains to shows until they run out, so we'll leave the page up until Christmas, after which time you will not be able to purchase keychains on our site. If you would like to purchase one of the new paintings on a keychain, please feel free to email Melissa and she would still be happy to make it for you! We also have several new products that we'll be adding to the website over the rest of the week, including bookmarks, greeting cards, more fairytale boxes, and lockets. September 29, 2008 Happy (almost!) October! We're very excited for Halloween, and have a special Halloween-y treat for you. Melissa loved painting A Purrfect Autumn so much and had such a great response that she decided to paint another black kitten. This adorable new kitty is popping out of jack o'lantern, so hopefully he can help get you in a Halloween mood!  We're in the process of adding a great new product: candles! Melissa has taken wonderful-smelling 21 oz. candles and created labels for them using her paintings. She glosses each label and tops off the candle with a gorgeous bow. So far The Halloween Kitten is the only one posted, but we'll continue to add more as Melissa finishes them. To see this wonderful new product, please visit our Candles gallery. Melissa has also opened a new shop on a neat site called Etsy. It's similar to Ebay, but you can purchase items without bidding, and items are handmade by the seller. Melissa is really enjoying running her shop there and is able to post numerous pictures of each product, so please come visit us and check it out at SpellboundWings.etsy.com. Melissa also posts items that may not appear on her website, including several discontinued website items. Which brings us to our last piece of news: changes to our cameos. As Melissa mentioned on her blog, we've adjusted necklaces prices thanks to finding new suppliers, so if you've been wanting one of her gorgeous cameos, now is the perfect time to get one! Our necklaces now come in a gorgeous sheer organza bag, perfect for storing them in or giving them as a gift! First, we have added a beautiful new cameo setting, which can be found in the Classic Chokers and Gossamer Ribbon Cameos galleries. This new Gothic cameo setting is 40x30mm, and looks amazing on both the black chokers and necklaces. Unfortunately, due to lack of availability, we must discontinue the "Simple 30x22mm" cameo setting. So if you'd like a Simple 30x22mm setting, they will only be available until October 15. We apologize if this causes any inconvenience; if you have any questions, please contact Melissa and she'd be happy to answer them. September 06, 2008 We have quite a big update here at Spellbound Wings! First, Melissa recently completed a magical new fall painting, A Purrfect Autumn, based on one of her own kitties-- The perfect painting to get you in an enchanted autumn mood!  Melissa was going to add a new choker design to her Cameos page, but she was having so much fun designing necklaces that we have added FOUR new cameo necklace designs!  Now there is a central cameo page, Necklaces, where you can find a picture, link, and brief description of each of the necklaces. We've also added another exciting new product: hand-embellished prints. Melissa has taken some of her most popular paintings, matted them, and decorated both the print and mat with rhinestones and glitter. Each unique creation is also signed; check out these incredible collector's items on our Embellished Prints page. Another beautiful new collector's item has been added to both the Collector's Gallery and the Framed Prints page: a fancy matted, framed, and signed 8x10 inch print of Angel Fallen. | Update August 5, 2008: Whew! We're back from an awesome Faerieworlds weekend with many new updates here at Spellboundwings.com. Several new links have been added to the menu on the left, including Fairytale Wreaths, Melissa's exciting new handcrafted product. She also has new cameo settings, which have been uploaded to the Cameos page. All of Melissa's websites can now be found easily in one place on the Melissa's Other Sites page. Embellished Prints are a new product Melissa will be offering by the end of the month, so stay tuned for these special prints! Also, Melissa has decided to journal about current going-ons here on her website, so be sure to check out Melissa's Blog. Last but not least, the Photo Gallery has been updated with lots of pictures from Faerieworlds 2008! | Update July 27, 2008: Faerieworlds is less than a week away! We are so thrilled to be vending at Faerieworlds 2008 next weekend, and have several exciting new products to debut there. These products will become available on Melissa's website the same day, so if you're curious, be sure check SpellboundWings.com Friday morning! Melissa is also excited to release her new painting, Summer Dreams, which you may have noticed has already been posted on the main page and added to cameos, magnets, keychains, prints, and medieval frames. Summer Dreams jewelry boxes will also be available starting Monday. 
Summer Dreams is the second in Melissa's Fairy Seasons series, after Autumn Whispers, so it looks like Melissa will be working on the winter fairy next! We have also added a new link to Melissa's paintings that are grouped into series: www.spellboundwings.com/Series.shtml. More exciting series are on their way-- and we'll give you a hint, expect to see some unicorns and black-winged angels! Melissa is also trying to finish a new painting before the festival, so that will hopefully be posted on the website this week as well! The next update will come on Friday morning, so stay tuned! | Update June 28, 2008: A lot has been going on here at Spellbound Wings! We have several exciting news items, a new product, and a new artwork! First, Melissa's artwork has been licensed by cross-stitch company Stab and Stash. You can now find several of her angel paintings available as cross-stitch charts on their website www.stabandstash.com, with many more, including her fairies, to be added soon. Melissa is also very excited to annouce she is now an EMG artist! Ellen Million Graphics is a great company run by artist Ellen Million, who has licensed some of Melissa's paintings for products such as mousepads, tote bags, shirts, stickers, and more! Angel Light merchandise is already up, so please visit Melissa's page at EMG www.ellenmilliongraphics.com/fantasyart/emgartist.php?profile=400 to check it out. While we are extremely excited about vending at Faerieworlds in August, we are also looking forward to vending at the Marion County Fair in Salem, Oregon, July 10-13. Our bookmark materials finally came in, so you can purchase your favorite painting as a bookmark from our Bookmarks gallery within the next couple days. Each bookmark is printed on our special prints paper, tucked into a glossy plastic sleeve, and adorned with a colorful matching tassle. And finally, for all you kitty lovers, Melissa has just released a new cat painting! We think you'll agree, it's her cutest painting yet!
